Why I Think The Weight Loss Industry Is Doing You So Much Harm.

Gym machines, counting calories, dieting, meal replacement shakes. Weight loss teas, pills, the weighing scales. High protein, high fats. Carb-free diets. Treadmills, slimming world, weight watchers.

You don’t need any of the above. And what makes me mad is hearing people tell me they’ve failed at this stuff. You haven’t failed. The problem is that you have a personality and you’re not some robot that can stick to a soul destroying, depressing weight loss fad.

You don’t need it! Going around in circles using gym machines- you don’t need it! You could be out there using your body freely, allowing your muscles to move and work the way they’ve been designed to. Anything, and I mean anything that makes you feel bad, or bored while you’re doing it, know that it’s not you, it’s them!

We have one life, that’t it, and you want to be sure you’re living it as happy and carefree as you can. And you know how you can do that?

Eat normal food. Food that is on this earth for us to eat. You know deep down that you don’t need to weigh this food, to know what’s too much and too little.  You know you don’t need to add up the calories, or the points. You know that. You know how to eat healthy.

The problem is WHY you’re not eating healthy. WHY you’re  drinking too much. These are the real problems you can solve, and by doing so change your life.

Eating to nourish your body, working out to #FEELGOOD and taking care of your mental health are the three pillars to you feeling good, confident, and fitting great in your clothes.

At Inspire Fitness we do not own one gym machine and it’s one of the things I’m most proud of. When you commit to loving yourself, you start to really reap the rewards. Loving yourself means not dieting, not slogging away on a crappy machine, not counting calories, not stepping up on a crappy weighing scales. Loving yourself means loving yourself enough to exercise,  giving yourself a break, taking time out.

Its time to move away from the weight loss industry and viewing everything to do with health and fitness negatively.

See it all as a wonderful gift we have to make ourselves feel good . We are so lucky to be alive. We are so lucky to have a healthy body. Let’s start loving ourselves more, finally.
