The only thing you have to do is not quit. If you don’t quit, you’ll eventually win. And that’s the secret. Successful people plough on, take their losses on the chin and keep going. OK you might spend a few days in a bit of a rage sometimes but then you pick yourself up and go again.
What many people do is quit. They see a setback as proof that they’re a failure. I’m telling you, the more successful you are, the more failures you’ll have under your belt.
People over-complicate things WAY too much. To insane levels. The weight loss industry plays on this. Cut out foods groups, calorie count, fast, fast intermittently…
I know! What about eating healthy, working out and discovering why you’re turning to food for comfort. Why not learn more about yourself? Why not figure out what’s making you make bad choices? Are you lonely? Are you sad? Did you have unhealthy habits engrained in you as a kid?
It’s NOT about knowing more food secrets! There are none. Healthy people eat healthy food. Dieters, yo-yo-ers, they experiment with diets. They gain and lose weight ALL the time. The problem stays with them all their life, until it becomes a part of their identity. Do you want to be like that? Do you want to be talking about diets when you’re 80?
Eat healthy. Workout. Drink water. Rest. Have an off day and get back on it again. Find exercise you love. Find a community you love, with like-minded go-getting people like we have at Inspire, that focuses on the positives NOT the bloody weighing scales.
Have a bad weekend but leave it at that. And then get on with your brilliant life! You’re wasting it obsessing about food.
