I had a complete nervous breakdown in my twenties. I've spent nearly all of my adult years struggling with alcohol and food issues. I have eaten my way through every single emotion. Comfort eating, binge drinking, massive portions, big fluctuations with my weight, panic attacks, stress, anxiety… you name it.
For a long time I thought I could overcome overeating with magical diet plans and willpower. I also thought if I tried hard enough, it would all fall into place. I didn't realise that I was trying to fix deep problems with surface solutions. Surface solutions like diet plans, more exercise, restricting my food, giving up carbs, app trackers, step counters…. I thought the answer lay somewhere with these things. ‘Try harder Jessica, your willpower is so bad’
I have felt so low and so shackled to my bad habits that there were times I really saw no way out.
I had neglected myself. I wasn't taking care of myself. I felt deep shame in myself. I was a huge people pleaser, I was constantly seeking validation outside of myself. I had a negative mindset, I didn't really like myself and I was constantly talking down to myself.
When I finally figured it out, it was like a huge weight lifted. I was free. I’m free and I’m here to help you to become free too. I’m here to help you lead fitter, healthier and happier life.
