Do you ever feel like your body isn’t your own? That you are not your own?  When you got to the end of your twenties, didn’t you think that it was just the beginning of a long, youthful road ahead?
And then BOOM, just like that, life changes. You’re pregnant, you’ve kids, a career that you care about.. and life zips by.
So then a while after all this, it hits you that you’ve neglected yourself. And it could be when you hit 37, 40, 45, 50….. But it hits you with a bang. You’ve spent zero time on yourself and you’ve 100% neglected  to look after you.
And you don’t recognise the person in the mirror. It’s not funny, witty, happy, intelligent you. You feel you look like a stereotype. You feel that you’re being judged.
Fad diets stop working. It’s not that they ever were good for you, but pre-event, give it 7 days, and it felt that there was a difference. Not now.
What you used to do, to look good, has stopped working. Walking isn’t enough. Â And your health starts to become important to you.
So many women come to this crossroads in their life, and they either take the bull by the horns and change their lifestyle, or they carry on the way they’re going.
If you carry on the way you’re going, your life isn’t going to improve. You’re not going to feel better, you’re only going to feel worse as the years go by, because you’re burying your head in the sand, and doing nothing.
You can play around with different diets and different fads, to hid from the fact that you’re not addressing the real issue. You’re scared to change and you’re scared to make changes. You’re afraid of failure and afraid to fail.
The weight loss world loves to sell promises of the latest thing, because it works on those people that don’t want to succeed. Â They can try a fad, blame the fad for not working, and go back to square one. They know this, and play to this all the time. They prey on people that they know will spend loads of money on something, but not get any results. They don’t want you to get any results. They want to sell the next thing to you. They don’t guarantee results, they guarantee hope.
Your health is only going to get worse as the years go by. Arthritis, osteoporosis, poor mental health, low-confidence, being older than your years, no fitness, aches and pain, are all very realistic worries for people that don’t look after their health.
When you’re at the crossroads, you need to know a few things.
Working out and eating healthy, are a critical part, of the wellbeing of all of us. It transforms us from being
a shell of our former selves, to a strong, confident, happy woman.
It makes you look younger, feel younger, and fit into your clothes better. It gives you confidence to engage in conversations, do great in your working life, and be a better parent/friend/partner.
It gives you your life back. It stops you from craving your twenties/thirties. It makes you feel young and vibrant all over again. You become more capable with problems and bad news. You become a good role model, even an inspiration, for people in your life, that look up to you.
You look forward again, not back.
Life becomes full of wonderful possibilites again. You become YOU again. You have more energy, you’re happier and more content in yourself.
No matter what our age, we all have the capabilities, to live our best years now.
I urge you to take the bull by the horns and take action on your life, your happiness and your future. Don’t ever think you’re too old to change. People are judging you way less than you think. Don’t let fear of what you think other people are thinking of you, put you off.
Do something about this. Take action, succeed. There’s so many people out there that are doing this, and are winning at life. Be one of them.
Committed to your success,
Jessica X
