The biggest sign you self-sabotage… do you do this?

At Inspire Fitness, our mission is to help women feel really good! A healthy way of life beats calorie counting and deprivation diets any day. Working out and eating healthy to #feelgood is what we’re all about, and it’s the mission we are here to spread. When you do that, everything else falls into place, and you get to feel great along the way.

I’ve met so many women who have done worked out for a while, eaten well for a while… and then stopped. And this has led to a lifetime of yo-yo ing with their weight. Does this happen to you? Do you gain and lose more than a few pounds, every year, a few times a year?

This can be a big sign that you are a self-sabotager. Without realising, it, you destroy your success. You mightn’t even know you do this, but the proof is in the yo-yo, and the different dress sizes you own.

It’s a little bit like a thermo-stat in a room. When set it to 60′, and the temperature in the room is 50′, the thermo-stat will work hard to get to 60′. If the room temperature is 70′, it’ll work hard to get down to 60′. Same as you! If you get fit, toned and feel great, you’ll sub-consciously work hard to get back to where you think you belong, i.e weight gain and feeling bad!

If you don’t believe you deserve success, if you don’t believe you deserve to look good and feel good, you will sub-consciously sabotage yourself until you’re back where you think you belong.

You’ll stay there for a while, and then want to get back on track again. But you WILL be pulled back, and hence the weight gain/weight loss cycle you’re stuck in.

So how do you fix this?

It’s really important that you work on yourself from the inside out, while you’re working out. Fixing yourself from the inside is the number one key to success. Figure out why you think you don’t deserve it and learn how to love and respect yourself, as much as you do others.

Journal your thoughts every day. Tell yourself positive things about yourself. Get rid of anything toxic in your life.

Fix this and you’ll be consistently healthy throughout your life,
