Everything about being fit and healthy can be way over-complicated, but that makes sense right? Diets don’t work and following obsessive plans don’t work but the people selling those plans don’t want you to believe that! They want you to believe that it IS complicated, it IS time consuming and you have to count, weigh and omit food groups to be healthy.
So to counter-act that, I wanted to write a quickfire round of how to be healthy, feel good in your clothes and feel good in yourself, with tons of energy and therefore lead a happier life. Here we go:
- Drink 2 litres of water per day;
- Eat 3 meals and 2 snacks:
- Eat from all food groups:
- Workout most days during the week, for 30 minutes;
- Lift weights;
- Do interval training;
- Work on your core;
- Mix up your sessions to keep your muscles guessing;
- Get sweaty and breathless every time you workout;
- Get out of your head and take action;
- Journal for 5 minutes at least, most week days;
- Get out in the fresh air, for at leat 20 minutes, 3-5 times during the week;
- Have a good bed time routine, that doesn’t involve your phone;
- Have a good fiction book on the go at all times;
- Test your fitness by going for a hike a few times a year up a peak;
- Eat protein at most meals;
- Have one meal a day that gives your body a starchy carb break;
- Enjoy every session you do;
- Only think of your workout, 5 minutes before you have to go and do it;
- Try working out in the morning, first thing, a few times per week, it’ll give you more evenings off;
You can be healthy anytime you choose! You can literally today decide to be healthy. You don’t need to wait, you don’t need the perfect time, you can today decide to stat eating healthy and do a workout.
