Signs that you’re not taking care of yourself.
Tiredness is a dangerous thing.
And can lead to anxiety, depression and stress.
I know this first hand .
There are weeks that I forget EVERYTHING I know about taking care of myself. And during those weeks, I think I’m OK. I think I have a handle on it. I whizz around, feeling on top of it all, drinking truck loads of coffee, kind of happy that I’m so on the ball. I stop relaxing, because that almost seems boring, and I get a kind of buzz of the stress of it all.

And I stop making time for myself, because that seems boring, and I stop doing the things that I have in my life to help me unwind.
But then, after a while, it’s not that I crash, I just get really ‘what’s it all about’. The daily grind starts to get to me in a really depressing kind of why. I start to get really thoughtful, and start to think about ageing and death, and family and all sorts of stuff. And that is NOT good.
The truth is , there’s so many reasons to take care of yourself, and it’s not just for health reasons, or time away from kids. It’s also to nurture your soul. And to not end up cranky and wound up without realising it.
Laughing every day, taking time out to just breathe brings your feet right back down to earth and makes you get in tune with your mind, body and soul.
Boredom is a dangerous feeling to feel, and it usually means you’re not looking after yourself.
If you’re feeling down on a daily basis now, it may be time to take stock , and figure out a way to stop feeling like that. There are small ways you can make your life better and happier, in these busy years. They’re tough to stick to but so worth it.
And check yourself every month. How are you feeling? Are you sick of life? Tired all the time? Is your life all about working and the kids or working and sleeping? Do you think about death much? Have you given up?
My door is always open. I meet women ALL THE TIME who are terrified of doing something for themselves, feel so awkward about walking up the steps to see me at Inspire Fitness, but I’m used to it. I love it. I get to see not just physical transformations but mental transformations.
I love to see women we coach start to love themselves and feel really good about life again.
