Being overweight and unfit, gives you the worst possible chance at a good quality of life.
Your confidence, self-esteem and belief in yourself, is at an all time low. You’re more reserved, it affects how you are, at work and at home. It can seem that food is your only comfort. The reward at the end of a long day.
You can’t find clothes to fit, which makes you frustrated and more angry with yourself.
On top of that, health and getting older becomes a huge worry. Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, are all very real and worrying problems that have a high chance of happening when you’re over weight.
You can turn all this around. All you have to do is be ready, ready to change. You know when you’re ready. You know when it’s the right time.
You’ve got to forget diets and fads, that make you feel worse and don’t give you any feel good hormones. That’s what I hate so much about weight watchers, and slimming world. They’re so focused on weight loss, and food, and they’re not focused on mindset. They’re not focused on changing your life.
Counting calories, or constantly thinking about food, only leads to results, for a while. It’s like putting a plaster on a cut, rather than healing the cut. It could be one month, it could be 1 year, but the weight always goes back on. No-one can live their life, constantly on a diet. Or constantly thinking about food. And if you can do that, is that not depressing?
You need to fix yourself from within. You need to get all the amazing feel good hormones from working out, that are going to keep you motivated to keep going. Exercise can change your life, and you can only know that when you start, and give it some time.
I changed my life through exercise. I used to suffer from anxiety, mood swings, I had a job I wasn’t fond of, no confidence, low self-esteem… the day I consistently started working out, was the day I changed my life.
Our members at Inspire Fitness, before they came to us, had tried everything. and nothing was working. Why? Because they didn’t fix the root cause of the problem. And once you start working on mindset, and working out, you get to the root cause. And that’s why they’re getting long-term results, they’re changing and making permanent, lifelong change to their lives.
Exercise, specifically interval training and weights, has been proven to be extremely therapeutic, in so many ways. It reduces stress, releases a lot of feel good hormones, and helps combat anxiety and depression.
It improves your confidence and empowers you to feel capable and confident, and more able to tackle life.
Working out, 3 times per week, specifically doing interval training, is going to change your life. You need to give it a shot. If you start now, you can still make 2016 count, and the year that you completely turned it all around.
P.S. There’s never going to be a perfect time
