A little tip when you feel overwhelmed.

I can get really overwhelmed sometimes.

It’s usually when emotionally, I’ve taken too much on. I’m very hard on myself, and don’t forgive myself easily if I feel I’ve let someone down, or haven’t been as ‘good’ as I thought I should have. ❌ ⭕️

That ‘good’ could be anything from,  being a good mother, a good business woman, a good boss, a good colleague, a good family member, a good friend, a good fit in my clothes, a good fit, a good laugh, a good person…. the list goes on. ➡️➡️➡️

Life is really crap when you do that. There’s no time to just be you, you’re always striving to be better, and you get tired and it takes its toll.

So about a month ago, I read something that Tony Robbins does, and I started to do it. And it helps me feel really relaxed, and works so well, that I really wanted to share it with you. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

I keep a notepad and pen in my handbag 24/7,  and do this exercise every, single day. ✅✅

first, I write down what my goals are. I have 3 big goals, and I write them down. This forces me immediately to look at the bigger picture of my life, and it takes me away from the tiny, not-important, but can feel important minute, day to day stuff.

Then, I write down three things I’m grateful for, which instantly brings me back down to a calm place, and helps me relax. It reminds me of how lucky I am to have my healthy, my family and career that I have. And all the other silly stuff fades away again. And my shoulders drop, and I feel relaxed again.

So if you, like me, feel overwhelmed at times, and get bogged down too much on the small stuff, go get a little notepad, keep it on you, and try this exercise, Jessica x
